Sahayog

The health profile of the community was diverse. On August 10th, Fr. Chacko had a black out, sitting on a chair in his room, and fell on the ground. He struggles  occasionally with a bout of incessant asthmatic cough. On 11th, Fr. Denis went to the doctor to review his plastered leg and came back having replaced the plaster with knee brace. He began his physiotherapy from the17th. Fr. Augustine Pantha was admitted in Jivodaya hospital for his viral fever and cough treatment on 17th and was discharged on the 20th. Fr. Arun visited Jaipur a couple of times for his tooth treatment. Mr. Sushil, the care-taker, lost his father on 7th due to old age-related issues. On 19th, Doctor Sister and staff from Jivodaya hospital came for the regular checkup of our seniors’ health conditions. This month our three co-workers – Albert, Sunita (NRC) and Anil were down with fever. The rest of the community members enjoyed good health. The community was blessed with the visits of Fr. Jeera, on his way back to Rome and left on 10th. On 8th, four of us represented the community for the celebration of Fr. Glenn’s birthday at Shahbad.

On 9th, Frs. Nelson, Scaria, Arok and Sch.  Praveen went to Ropar to participate in the first communion and of confirmation ceremonies in the Parish. Fr. Louis arrived on 9th and spent some time visiting fellow Jesuits in nearby communities. On 10th, we had birthday dinner for Fr. Remy who celebrated his birthday on the 8th Fr. Arok stayed with us during his teaching in VJ. On 14th, Fr. Christopher and Fr. Arok were invited to senior and junior school respectively as chief guests to hoist the national flag. On 15th, Fr. Provincial hoisted the national flag at NRC. Fr. Peter Mulluparambil (KER), the revisor of our Province, came on the 27th for his assigned work. On 27th Fr. Provincial went to
Shahabad for visitation. On 28th,Fr. K P George arrived from Republic of Gyana and next day went to Allahabad for his novitiate-group retreat gathering. On 28th, Fr. Job returned after teaching assignments in Pune. Five Regents had half a day of recollection and sharing on the 29th.
